My recent trip to Vancouver beginning of February made me think that I have already been to quite a lot of places on this beautiful planet. This brought me to the idea of acutually compiling a list of places (cities/towns, countries) that I was able to visit over the years.
I was fascinated by visiting other countries and getting to know different cultures ever since. I remember the first time boarding a plane when we made a school trip to London when I was in High School at the age of 15. Many other places followed and just because I got curious recently how many places I can put together, I am trying to compile a list…

Some day soon I hope I will be able to post some pictures of my journeys on this very website. I still looking for the right WordPress plugin. And no, I don’t want to go with Flickr
What about you? Any extensive travellers among you?
You might want to check out http://www.43places.com/. It’s pretty cool.
Why not Flickr? I’ve been thinking of moving to Flickr from my Coppermine gallery.
I second Brad. Why not flickr?
I resisted moving to flickr but rather recently I made the move. I’m quite happy having made the move and the api gives you tremendous flexibility.
Maybe even roll your own wordpress plugin to integrate with flickr?
Best of both worlds.
@Chad, Brad:
Regarding Flickr: well, one reason might be that I have built up some kind of psychological barrier that I don’t want to upload my pictures to -some- server that I can’t get access to - in contrast to my own hosting provider. Might sound a little paranoid, I know.
Reason number 2 is that for some reason, the way that Flickr organizes albums/streams or whatever they call it, does not really seem user-friendly to me. Maybe I simply did not “dig deep” enough into the features that Flickr offers.
But yes, the “integrating option” seems a good possibility. Will think about it
